Following the Twitter of Darren Berrecloth, it seems that the rain is kind of invited in the party…Hope that they will ride again today. All support to our french rider Yannick Granieri, and buddies Martin and Sam !
FMB world tour ranking update after BIB…
Big in Bavaria made some changes in the FMB world tour ranking. Sam is back at the top of the list with his second place at BIB and Martin’s win allow him to reach the 3rd place. Brandon is on the 2nd place but some big events are still to come : Crankworx Colorado and Whistler, Rampage…Big points which can make huges differencies… Big up to frenchy Yannick Granieri whose solid riding allow him to take the 4th place.

Today was the first run for all riders, pros as amateurs. Nobody hits the big drop, and due too a huge rain storm, the second run had to be cancelled. So for the moment, top 3 is :

2- Agassiz
3- Antoine Dubourgnon (with a huge flip cork on the step-up jump)…

26Trix Final- McCaul made it !
For a long time Cam McCaul missed the higher place of the podium, but in Leogang, for this edition of the 26trix, he made it. A perfect run with a huge tailwhip and a front flip on the “Air Time” line plus some extra sick tricks like barspins or flipwhip gave him the win ! It was actually pretty close with Brandon Semenuk (2nd) who lead after the first run but slipped the pedal on his last trick. Brandon pleased the crowd with 3-6, opposite 3-6, flip x-up one foot and 3-6 whip but ended up second. Martin Soederström, who crashed on his first run had all the pressure on his shoulder but manage to make a super technical run, and took the 3rd place. Follow Sam Pilgrim, Yannick Granieri, Paul Basagoitia, Andreu Lacondeguy and Amir Kabbani.

26Trix in Leogang randoms
26trix really started yesterday with qualifications. As i was judging, i couldn’t really filmed or take pics from the contest in itself, but i manage to shot some things before the contest. So here’s a little gallery with a bunch of snpashots, from the trip to Leogang with Yannick and Tyler to the training session….
About the contest, the line is almost the same as last year, only the second jump of the big line (air time line ! ) gets smaller and more trickable. The level is actually pretty crazy with more than half of the riders taking the big line. Semenuk leads the pack but the big game is today with the Final. Andreu is really impressive with massive trick and amazing style as always, maybe all about the Barca shirt…Sam Pilgrim is pretty solid as always, as well as Martin despite the fact that he crashed some weeks ago and still isn’t 100% (!!!). Homie, Yannick , did a pretty solid run too, keepin’ some bigger tricks for the Final. What else : Linus is massive as always with frontflip and huge no foot can, Felix Rosendhal was pretty impressive during practice but was unlucky during quali crashing in both runs…McCaul family is super smooth and go big as always, for sure Cam will step up the level for the Final….Wait and see, few hours to wait, more news this evening !

Willingen faces
Last weekend was the Sympatex festival in Willingen, a dirt contest, a big festival and a DH race with a lot of WC racers. Pretty cool. The video is on progress, so here’s some little pics from the weekend.

Muddy, slippery, the first WC in Maribor was challenging riders a lot…For its first worldcup race, the new SantaCruz carbon took home the win. Minnaar on the higher step, Gee following, Brendan, Fabien Pédemanaud and Hill after. Big up for Fabien, always good when conditions are hard.

Peaty’s world champ season in a book…
With a mind-blowing year 2009, crowned by a World Champion title in Canberra, Steve Peat made his way into history (if he wasn’t already !!!! ). As he told it into a previous “day in a life” video, Steve was working on a book, a résumé of this successful season, as well as an insight into a champion’s life.
