I first met Marius Hoppensack when i was doing some filming stuff for Adidas. He always amazed me with crazy style, gnarly tricks and his incredible state of mind. He’s riding on SCOTTbikes in 2009 and i’m really stoked on it as it gonna be a really good way for him to be more famous outside of Germany. Cinema Lessons with Sergueï
Always be a big fan of cinema but cinema school are quite expensive here in France. A good idea pop out of the crazy mind of one student in cinema, Simon Dronet, who decided to film lesson under the pseudo of Sergueï. Pretty nice clips will explain you everything about cinema and filming….sorry, only french speaking available but Cinema was created in France (Lyon) and the Nouvelle Vague is french too and pretty influent. Vans always been really close to riders. BMX, Skateboard, MTB (yeah Palmer ! ), fixies, Vans always tried to support the movement and create best shoes for the sport. The waffle sole is still one of the best on the market…
This season Vans collaborated with some of the greatest personnalities to bring some special features to shoes under the “Syndicate” label, only available in selected core shops. Last edition is a great selection of shoes designed by skateboard photographer and fixie filmer (MASH) Gabe Morford. Check out their webpage for more infos and shops to buy those limited editions…

Movies have Cannes, bikeriders have The Bicycle Film Festival. The moto is “The Bicycle Film Festival is a celebration of bicycles through film, art and music.” and i personnaly really like the idea, mixing all kind of riding, all kind of characters, all kind of wheel sizes….Watch also this little clip made by Puma, one of the main sponsor of the Festival here.

Bad crash for Rachel….
Bad crash for Rachel Atherton while she was training on her roadbike in SantaCruz….Check some news on animalcommencal.com. Result is a dislocated shoulder, but it could have been really worse when you check some of the pics….impressive. All the best for her recovery.
